Get resources for self-empowerment!
Poverty is more than financial instability, it is the extent to which one lives without resources. That is why Thrive of the Heartland focuses on increasing Leaders' access to resources, including education and social capital.
In order to qualify as a Thrive Leader, individuals/families must:
Live at or below the federally defined poverty line;
Possess both the desire and drive to create a pathway toward financial sustainability;
Open themselves to a collaborative learning process;
Be ready to make a 12-month commitment; and
Have Thursday evenings available.
